May is the time for Graduations--Thanks so much Christine!!

May is the perfect time to showcase Christine's Graduation Series, what with celebrations from kindergarten through College graduations!  As I was planning on three different ones (and customized from hair color to gown colors), I used both Avery and Owen gowned images!   On Owens' blue gown, his tassel is burgundy and I used several silver
embellishments that were dimensional.

Here's Avery's card-I think it's just perfect as her tassel and gown were going to be royal blue/silver and royal blue.  The shiny silver striped cardstock was the perfect background for the image. The nice things about Christine's images is there are tiny tiny details that make it hard to get your copic pens in small spaces, but they still have enough features to make it interesting!  Again I used the dimensional embellishments, although no matter how I tried, I could not get the ultra shiny inside greeting to show up-it says Contrats Grad (text disclaimer is in white under the embellie)
The last Owen card was done in shiny metallic Gold and black gown.  I wanted the graduation sentiments to show from the inside so I cut the front flap in half, triple matted the colored image-hope you can see the lighter folds-then let the image hang over.  The sentiment paper inside has lettering in both black and gold.  I added some more embellie accents.  I loved how all of these card turned out and Christine from Paper Nest Dolls came out with the Graduation Series JUST in time!!!  Yea!  Be sure and check out all of her other great images in the shop!

Frankie

Hello everyone!

I hope you're staying safe away from hurricanes, floods and fires! It's really been a weird year for weather this year! Christine is trying to recover from the destruction from the storm, so you'll have to contact her to purchase if you'd like to purchase the rubber stamp. Luckily, it's still just sunny where I'm at in Oregon but the nice weather is coming to an end unfortunately. Anyway, I'm here to share with you my next creation! I've used the new image "Frankie" for my card to get you inspired to start working on some Halloween crafts if that's your sort of thing. I don't typically make many Halloween creations because I don't give out many cards for it, but just couldn't pass up the opportunity to color up this cutie! I hope you love her as much as I do!

I played around with some different color combos with my copic markers on this one. She was fun to color up! The patterned paper I used is by Doodlebug Design, as well as the enamel dots. Lastly, I added a die cut with a die from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by! Feel free to leave some comments and check out my blog for more details and photos. Have a great day!

Spring is in the air...

Hello everyone, DT Jammie here from rainy Idaho. Never fear though, April showers bring May flowers! Sweet little Avery here is enjoying the little bugs that come out of hiding when spring rolls around. Avery with Fireflies is a new image this month and isn't she just the cutest?
I used so many Copics to color her, and changed my mind on what colors to use about a million times, that I forgot to write down what ones I used.
I can tell you that the skin blend I used is E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, and R20. Her Hair is E29 and E37, and a highlight color that I can't recall. Ha ha ha! Sorry guys.  The papers are Stampin' Up! and a few scraps from my bin (it's HUGE, because I'm a paper hoarder), the flowers are from the $1 bin at my local Michael's store, and the Washi Tape is from Recollections.
This Image can be purchased from the Paper Nest Dolls Shop and she has a few friends all ready for spring that you should check out too.  This card was made to inspire you for our "Anything Goes" challenge going on this month, check back a few posts for full details. You can also check out my blog to see some of my other creations.
Hope you all have a wonderful week and happy stamping!
